A practical FAQ on the Arcana Domain Daggerheart dice set: what's in the box, how the Hope and Fear dice work, and who should pre-order it.
Quick answer
The Arcana Domain Daggerheart dice set is a glass dice set built for Daggerheart's Hope and Fear mechanic, sold as a pre-order through the Critical Role Store and shipped by Misty Mountain Gaming. Buy it if you want a themed, tactile set for Daggerheart sessions and you have a US shipping address; skip it if you need worldwide delivery or a standard polyhedral set for another system.
What the pre-order status and US-only shipping mean for you
This set is made and fulfilled by Misty Mountain Gaming, not by the Critical Role Store warehouse, so the usual store shipping timeline does not apply. The catalog notes that worldwide shipping is not available and delivery is limited to physical addresses within the United States.
That makes the pre-order a poor fit for international players or anyone using a freight forwarder, because the restriction is on the destination address itself. If you are in the US, the pre-order is the only way to get this specific Arcana Domain set before it becomes a general listing.
How glass changes the feel at the table
Glass dice feel denser and click louder than resin or plastic, which some players love for the ritual of a big roll and others find distracting in a quiet session. The catalog does not list weight, dimensions, or edge treatment, so do not assume a particular heft or sharpness from the photos alone.
If you roll on a hard bare table, plan for a dice tray or mat to protect both the dice and the tabletop. That is a practical precaution for glass in general, not a claim about this set's durability, which the catalog does not specify.
Arcana Domain Daggerheart dice set: common questions
- What is in the Daggerheart dice set contents?
- The Arcana Domain set is a glass multifaceted dice set that includes a Hope Die and a Fear Die, the two dice Daggerheart uses for its core roll. The catalog does not list a full die-by-die breakdown beyond those named dice, so treat any other count as unconfirmed until the listing says otherwise.
- How do you use Daggerheart dice in play?
- In Daggerheart, you roll a Hope Die and a Fear Die together with your action die. The higher of the two Duality dice colors the outcome: Hope gives you a resource, Fear gives the GM one, and matching results trigger a critical. Keep the Hope and Fear dice visually distinct so you can read the pair at a glance. Separate the Hope and Fear dice from the rest of the set before the session starts.
- Is the Arcana Domain dice set pre-order worth it?
- It is worth it if you already play Daggerheart, want a themed glass set, and have a US shipping address. It is not worth it if you play another system, need international delivery, or prefer lighter plastic dice for travel.
- Can I use these dice for Dungeons & Dragons or other games?
- You can roll any dice for any game, but this set is designed around Daggerheart's Hope and Fear pair. For D&D you would be paying for two dice your system does not use, and the catalog does not confirm a standard seven-die polyhedral spread.
- Where does the Arcana Domain set ship, and who fulfills it?
- Misty Mountain Gaming makes, fulfills, and ships this product. Delivery is only available to physical shipping addresses within the United States, and worldwide shipping is currently not available. Confirm your address is a physical US address before you complete the pre-order.
